Dear Little I,
I am so proud of you.
Mama and Dada went away to Brazil for a week and you stayed at home with Grannie and Granda, who kindly came down from Scotland to look after you.
You weren’t phased one bit. You welcomed your Grannie and Granda with lots of laughs, fun, hugs and kisses even though you only get to see them on FaceTime every week and then every couple months or so in person. I’m so proud of you for your confident little personality and how adaptable you are.
You made leaving you behind a teeny, tiny bit easier and we say a big thank you for that. Of course we hated leaving you, and missed you lots, but it wasn’t feasible for you to come all the way across the world with us on this occasion (you would have HATED the plane journey!!).
Grannie and Granda had such a lovely time with you and told us you were very well behaved, apart from one incident with a gilet. You bloody love that gilet!
It has made me stop and think about how amazing your development is. You were a teeny tiny baby less than two years ago, totally dependent on us, and now look at you. You waltz into nursery in the morning and rule the roost with your little friends. You welcome others into your life and are such a kind little girl.
You astound us with how much you are learning at the moment. You are soaking in as much knowledge as you can from the world around you and making sense of it in your own way. I do often wish the world you are growing up in was a little kinder but we will do as much as we can to shelter you, from the bad parts, for as long as we can.
Anyway I don’t want to babble on. I just wanted to say how proud we are of you and how grateful we are for the way you are. Long may you continue to be so easy going!
All our love,
Mama & Dada x
