Isabella Oliver is one of those names in maternity wear that you recognise straight away. They are known for their great quality, super functional, but still fashionable items and are loved by celebrities and us normal mamas alike.
When they got in touch with us to tell us about their campaign, which is a take on the ‘baby on board’ badges that are popular with commuter, we were excited to hear more.
Their badges are a little more fun than the standard TFL ones with sayings such as ‘mama on board’, ‘please mind the bump’ and ‘real baby, not food baby’. They’re a bit of fun and we love them!
We were also sent this gorgeous sky Blue top to try out and thought we’d share what we thought with you lovely lot.
The top itself is really, really soft and you can tell from the minute you pick it up that it’s going to wash well and last a long time – that is such a mum thing to say isn’t it?!
I thought I would keep it casual and team my Isabella Oliver top with a pair of ripped maternity skinny jeans and some pointed Rose Gold pumps. The great thing about the top is you can dress it up or dress it down. It can be worn casually, like i have here, or you could team it with some faux leather skinnies and some heels for a more glam, going out and about outfit. It would also look great with a pair of leggings and trainers for a ‘running errands’ kind of day!
The thing I couldn’t get over was how comfy the top is. The ruching detail on the side means that there is plenty room for bump – no matter what size yours is. It also means that the top should look good when worn postnatally as well. It’s a lovely detail that is really flattering on us pregnant ladies.
I also teamed it with my trusty Kate Spade Black bag. I think the contrast of the light top and dark bag works well.
it’s priced at £55 (but currently in the sale for £44) which seems pricey, but when you consider how much wear you will get out of it and how long it will last, it’s a pretty good investment. This is a top you can wear from day one of pregnancy all the way through to after you have baba.
