When I was in my second trimester of pregnancy, the lovely people at Snuz got in touch and asked if we would like to review one of their Snuzpod bedside cribs. It was already on the wish list for this time around so we were more than happy to oblige! We are now a month into using our Snuzpod bedside crib and want to share how we are getting on with you lovely lot.
What is a Snuzpod
The Snuzpod is a 3 in 1 bedside crib. It can either be used as a bedside crib, a stand alone crib or a bassinet. We are currently using it as a bedside crib and I love the feeling of being so near him, but not putting him in danger.
I’ve always admired the Snuzpod bedside cribs, even when I wasn’t pregnant. Their design is very aesthetically pleasing and they are a great example of a modern, stylish parenting product that is functional as well as being easy on the eye. When we received ours, I was impressed by the simple assembly instructions and the types of parts provided to assemble it. They weren’t particularly fiddly and didn’t take long to put together.
Once the crib was up I absolutely loved the way it looked straight away. It fit into our room perfectly and looked like it should have always been there!
The assembly wasn’t particularly tough, it just took bit of time to get it all op and sorted!

How we got on
We are getting on really well with our Snuzpod bedside crib. I genuinely think it contributes to Baby L having a relatively good nights sleep (for a newborn!). He obviously feels comfortable in he fact that he can see me and I often catch him just staring through the night, rather than crying looking for me. Anything that contributes to a better night’s sleep for us all is worth it’s weight in Gold to me!
I really love the fact the Snuzpod allows you to get the benefits of co-sleeping without the worry and anxiety associated with it. It’s drilled into you quite early on in pregnancy that co-sleeping can be dangerous, so this is a happy compromise.
I had a lot of problems breastfeeding, in the beginning, and the Snuzpod made things that little bit easier by saving me having to get up and down to try and feed Baby L. When the nights are long and emotional anyway, anything that makes it that little bit easier is wonderful.
Another thing I’ve found to be a great bonus is that iwhen you’ve finished feeding, that you can easily slide your baby into the Snuzpod bedside crib, rather than having to get up and take them over to a cot or crib. This means there is less of a chance of you disturbing your baby and waking them up. And we all know the aim of the game through the night is to get as much sleep as possible!
The Snuzpod crib is also great for day time naps and I love how transportable it is. It’ll be great for when we go visiting and staying over at friend’s and family’s houses.
To finish telling you how we’ve got on with the Snuzpod bedside crib, I have summed up our pros and cons:
Comparisons to Chicco Next To Me bedside crib
In my first pregnancy I bought the Chicco Next To Me Crib and loved it. It suited our needs at the time and I hadn’t really heard much about the Snuzpod back then, to be honest. Now that I’ve experienced both cribs, the things that I would say are more positive about the Snuzpod in comparison to the Chicco Next To Me crib are:
The assembly of both bedside cribs were as easy as each other, neither was better than the other. And in terms of prices, I think they are both priced well for what they offer you as a parent.
Would we recommend?
Yes we would definitely recommend the Snuzpob 3 in 1 bedside crib and have been telling numerous friends (and random people!) how good it is. It is 100% my best baby product and I think it’s worth every single penny. It is one of those parenting products that you wouldn’t know how you coped with out once you got one. Definitely an essential in my eyes. Anything that makes the night feeds easier is a big winner in my eyes!
And it’s not just us that love the Snuzpod bedside crib. It has won multiple awards, including Mother & Baby Best Cot, Crib Or Moses Basket, Best Cot Design In Junior Design Awards and Best Crib & Best Sleep Solution In The Loved By Parents Awards.
