A few weeks ago I was invited up to London by I Just Love It and Historic Newspapers to attend their #BestMumBrunch. Brunch happens to be my favourite meal of the day, and I am never know to turn down a trip to my old stomping ground, so I agreed in a flash.
After a super early start, L and I were on the train up to London and arrived at the event venue, Percy and Founders, a little bit late, thanks to a rather spectacular poonami situation when we got off the train. From L, not me!
We were greeted by the incredibly lovely, and friendly, PR team and a big group of other parent bloggers and vloggers. I already knew Hannah from Budding Smiles and Jade from Raising the Rings but the rest of the beautiful faces were new to me! I always love getting to meet fellow bloggers and vloggers and always find there is so much to talk about.
There was a gorgeous table all set out for us and we each had our own personalised seat where we had monogrammed plates with our initials on them. I don’t notice this to begin with and sat down and a random place – oops! Once I made it to the right seat, I noticed some more little touches – a personalised spoon, a vintage butter knife that said ‘spread love’ on it (cute), a hi-ball glass and an original paper from the day that we were born. I did wonder why they asked for our birthdays prior to the event!
I absolutely loved the paper. I was given a copy of Vogue from my birth month and year for my 23rd birthday and I have it framed in my room. This sort of thing is right up my street. I think it’s utterly fascinating to see what was going on in the world when you were too young to comprehend it all. It’s so interesting.
Once we had all arrived, we had a quick welcome from the PR team and then we were left to our own devices to tuck into brunch. Being dairy free, I couldn’t have the AMAZING looking ham and cheese pastries but I still enjoyed quite a lot of food – especially the avocado with tomatoes on toast.
Here is a little bit more information. If you are looking for a unique gift, then definitely check them out.
