Your baby moving from your room into their own room is often a bit of a daunting thought. I struggled with it more this time around than I did last time and was relieved when I heard about the Motorola Smart Nursery products. We have been trialling them for a few weeks now and are excited to share what we thought with you all!
The Smart Nursery range uses innovative technology to make up the world’s most intelligent connected nursery. The products all work great on their own but work even better together. Each product works through the Hubble Connected app to track sleeping patterns, monitor nursery conditions, send alerts and much more. Parents are able to use the information from the Motorola Smart Nursery on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to learn more about their baby, and the nursery’s environment.

How we got on
The packaging of each product looked great and showed off the product before you even got it out of the box.
The setup of each product was pretty easy and straightforward. They each came with separate instructions. You downloaded the Huggle Smart Nursery app for the humidifier, projector and scales and paired each device with the app, and wifi, separately. The camera required a separate app, that is password protected. Again, it was easy to install and set up.
All the products looked great. I loved the clean and sleek design of each of them. The all White products fitted in with our nursery décor perfectly and they all had nice modern touches to them – e.g. the scale’s screen and humidifier’s touch buttons.
The Smart Nursery Humidifier was easy to fill up, didn’t leak when transferring the water tank back onto the base and had four different mist settings. We mainly kept it on setting one or two. It also has a timer setting which is handy. The one gallon water tank meant it has up to eight hours runtime. Humidifiers are great to help with cold and flu symptoms and help clear congestion too. They do so by adding moisture to the air.
The Smart Nursery Dream Projector has become a great part of our bed time routine for L. He has been an absolute nightmare to settle to sleep at some points and is not very good at entertaining himself or being left on his own. The projector really captures his attention and he loves watching the different projections on the ceiling – there are three different scenes. The sounds seem to soothe him more than the lullabies. I like the level of light the coloured night light provides as well.
The Smart Nursery Camera provided SO MUCH peace of mind! It really is great to be able to see and hear your baby through a monitor. The quality of the video is really good, even in the dark. And the fact the camera is chargeable and portable makes it much easier to set up in the best location to monitor your baby. The fact you can also monitor the temperature and humidity as well as sound and video is fab. You can also track your baby’s sleep quality, which is very clever. The two way communication is a good idea but I have only used it to whisper to my husband through, as I think L would get to emotional being able to hear and not see me! You can also play lullabies through it, so it is a very diverse product.
The Smart Nursery Baby & Me Scales have saved me from some serious mum guilt recently! I can’t get L to many baby clinics to get weighed because of the hours I work so being able to track his weigh etc from home has been great. You can either weigh your baby with you on the scales as well or, if they are old enough, by themselves. The data gets sent back to the app and you can easily track all the measurements over.
