I know it’s a complete parenting cliché, but oh my goodness me I don’t know how I’d cope without coffee! I’ve always enjoyed a cup or two but it feels like it’s become as much of a need as a want these days, but not in a bad way! The tiredness is real and every little helps when it comes to my caffeine consumption. I don’t go over the top and never have more than two cups a day but those two cups are absolute bliss.
Even before kids I was terrible at making a cup of tea or coffee and then leaving it and forgetting about it until it went cold. It became (and still is) a running joke with my family not to give me my tea or coffee till it was lukewarm. There are just too many other things going on, that’s my excuse! Now that I have two little darlings who demand 99.9999% of my attention, I’ve become even worse when it comes to remembering to actually drink whatever hot drink I’ve made myself.
It’s good to make time for yourself though, and I often associate a quick 5 or 10 minutes to myself with having a hot drink as well. It seems to be tea most of the time at work but mainly coffee at home. I’m not sure why! There’s nothing better after a busy (and sometimes stressful!!) morning with the little ones than sitting down with a hot coffee during nap time. Now that the oldest doesn’t nap, she often joins me with a frothy milk.
We’ve been lucky enough , as part of our roles as Breville ambassadors, to try out the Breville One-Touch Coffee House recently and it’s made that cheeky coffee in the middle of the day feel like even more of a luxury. It was pretty easy to set up, following the instructions, and we were good to go pretty quickly. I thought it would be more complicated than it was, just because of how professional it looked!
The fact that it’s called ‘One-Touch’ though should have given away how easy it would be to use! You can make lattes, cappuccinos or espressos that taste like they have come straight out of a coffee house. Amazing!! The 19-bar professional quality pump means the coffee you’re making is super flavoursome, and rich, and the milk frother (I know!!) not only makes you feel like you work in a coffee shop, but also makes your coffees so much better than just an instant coffee with a splash of milk.
It’s pretty easy to clean and maintain and it looks great too. The design looks really premium. I love the Rose gold detailing and the sleek, minimalistic overall aesthetic.
I spend a lot of time hunting down coffees when I’m out so this will hopefully curb that habit a little and save me money too, which would be very handy at this time of year. I know coffee machines can seem super expensive but they really are an investment if you, or anyone in your family, are big coffee drinkers. They make the whole coffee experience much better and your coffee tastes like it’s in a different league!
If you want to find out more, you can check out the Breville One-Touch Coffee House on the Breville website. I have found quite a few good offers floating about on it too.
This is our last post and review as part of this ambassador program and I just wanted to say how much fun we had working with Breville and trying out their range. It’s great to be able to share such high quality and useful products with you lovely people!
*This post was kindly sponsored by Breville as I am working with them this year as one of their brand ambassadors but as always all words, thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
