The next section in our Bluestone Series is hopefully going to give you idea of one of the types of accommodation on offer at Bluestone.
We were lucky enough to stay in one of the Grassholm lodges, at 30 Preseli View.
Our lodge was in such a great location:
– just over a 5 minute walk to the long stay car park
– just under a 10 minute walk from the Adventure Centre
– just over a 10 minute walk from the Blue Lagoon Waterpark
– around a 15 minute walk down to the village
We had the most amazing views of the rest of the park and the hills in the background. It was absolutely gorgeous and such a pleasure to wake up to every day. Each bedroom had fantastic views.
In all the excitement of arriving, the only room I photographed was my own!!! What a terrible blogger. We were literally so happy to have arrived and I think I just got carried away settling in, rather than photographing. Apologies, I do have something to make it up to you at the end of this post though.
Jess was super sweet and let me have the en suite room upstairs. It was such a great size and was super clean. In fact, the whole lodge was really really clean and looked lovely and new. The curtains in the room were blackout ones and really kept out the light.
The bed was really comfortable. Them mattress was lovely and the bedding was very soft and snuggly. Towels were also provided (for use in the lodge, not pool).
The travel cots provided are from Mothercare and are really easy to put up and down. The bottom ‘mattress’ part isn’t very soft so you should bring a travel mattress with you if you want a softer nights sleep for your baby. There are also no sheets provided for the cots so bring those too. The highchairs provided are really good and just simple, easy to clean ones from Ikea.
The chest of drawers and wardrobe were a great size and had ample storage space for all your clothes etc. There was a good amount of hangers in the wardrobe and a safe. There were also 2 bedside tables with drawers too so plenty plenty storage space!
The ensuite bathroom was really fab. It was so clean and practically sparkling when we arrived. The shower was a proper power shower. I loved it!! There was also heated towel rails in every bathroom to dry out towels etc quickly. The heating was controlled centrally in the living room and we were always lovely and warm.
On a side note, you are provided with a very handy little pack containing:
– some bin bags
– a few dishwasher tablets
– a cloth
– a (very) mini washing up liquid bottle
So, instead of providing you with lots of photos of the rest of the lodge, you can come view it as I walk around videoing the whole place! Please skip to 14.24 of the Bluestone Weekly Vlog below to see the rest of the lodge…
Apologies again for not just photographing the whole place but at least this way you get a real feel for the place!
Has anyone else stayed in a similar lodge at Bluestone?
