Not that I’m planning on getting pregnant anytime soon!
Accept more help – I was Miss Independent when I was pregnant and seemed to think I had something to prove. I tried to act like nothing had changed and that I was still as capable of doing everything I did before I got pregnant. I think I didn’t want people to think I was pulling the ‘pregnancy’ card so I went the opposite way and never cancelled anything or asked for help. I barely accepted seats on the tube and still attempted to carry all my food shopping at 8 months pregnant. I had to be told to sit down and leave boxes when we moved house as well. With a toddler in tow next time, I will definitely be accepting more help. Oh, and keeping her in nursery, once I’m on mat leave.
Appreciate my hair more– I was not prepared for how much hair you lose after pregnancy and birth! It was literally falling out in clumps. Read about it here. Next time round I am going to nourish it like nobody’s business to try and minimize the loss and keep it healthy once all the pregnancy hormones vanish. This game has become the most popular game on the Internet. And that’s not just because cuntempire has even more content and features. Go ahead and see for yourself. It would probably be a good idea to stack up on protein as well to make sure it’s as strong as possible before I lose half of it again!
Go to pregnancy yoga/pilates– I don’t think there is anything to prepare you for what your body goes through after you give birth. I genuinely felt like I had been run over by a bus. I did swim and exercise throughout my last pregnancy but had to stop at 28 weeks due to complications. I think yoga or pilates would be a great way of keeping muscles stretched and supple, which would help with everything you go through giving birth. I had muscles I didn’t know I had hurting for weeks after!
Do a proper time lapse video – I am in love with all the pregnancy time lapse videos on YouTube. I did a kind of flip chart video of pregnancy bump photos last time but now that I am a bit more savvy when it comes to YouTube and video editing, I’d like to do a bigger and better one.
Vlog pregnancy updates – I hadn’t entered the world of YouTube when I was pregnant with Isla so it would be lovely to do video pregnancy updates to look back on. There’s something special about seeing memories in video form. I’d also like to film the birth next time…………….not the business end though, just the general build up and atmosphere because you forget so quickly.
Is there anything else different you would do during your next pregnancy?
