The Gro Company are an innovative brand that really take into account a parent’s needs. From the sleeping bags to the clocks, their products are great and we have long been fans. We were sent a Gro To Bed set to review and have been putting it to the test over the past month.
First of all, the Gro Company products are always beautifully packaged. I love the design of the packaging and the amount of relevant information, regarding the product, displayed on the outside. It really helps to reinforce your decision to buy.
The Gro To Bed set comes with two separate items. The sheet, with the built in pillow case, and the duvet cover.
On the sheet and duvet cover there are two halves of a zip. One on the sheet and one on the duvet. They connect together so, effectively, you zip the sheet to the duvet. The zip is about half a metre long so doesn’t go down the whole length of the bed, which allows your child some range of movement. We wouldn’t want them to feel trapped after all!
Some additional info on the Gro To Bed set from the Gro Company:
Toddlers are notorious for kicking covers off and getting all tangled up, so the Gro To Bed set is fantastic for helping to prevent them causing mayhem in their cot/bed. The fact that they are zipped in helps to keep them secure and make them feel more comfortable as well. Recently, Little I likes to shout ‘tuck tuck’ when I’m putting her in bed and you have to pull the covers right up to her chin so she can snuggle in.
I’d say my favourite part of the Gro To Bed set is the built in pillow case. How clever is that?! It stops that oh-so incredibly fun game of ‘pick the pillow the toddler threw out the cot up’. It also means there is a higher chance your child’s head will be in the best position for their neck whilst sleeping.
My only criticism would be the lack of choice when it comes to the Gro To Bed colours and patterns. There are only two to choose from. It would be nice to see some plain colours and a unisex option.
All in all, the Gro To Bed set is a great first duvet set that will see your child through to when they are ready to use a standard duvet set. We would highly recommend it due to it’s innovativeness and high level of quality in the design.
The Gro To Bed set retails for £49.99 and is available at major kids retailers including John Lewis and Amazon. For more info click here.
