We’ve reached that stage of toddler hood where one’s toddler is becoming rather obsessed with the toilet and everything to do with toilets, wees, poos and…bums. Or ‘bot bots’ as Little I likes to call them. Little I’s nursery mentioned a few months back that she was enjoying sitting on the potty so we realised we needed to get one for home as well. Luckily enough for us BabyBjorn stock some great potties and were kind enough to send one out to us.
The range of BabyBjorn potties are fab! I’m never one for a garish or bright design so the BabyBjorn potties’ modern, sleek design really appeals to me. They come in a range of lovely colours and we have the Grey smart potty.
There are two parts to the potty. The seat and the inner part, which you can take out if your little one does their business.
Little I went ‘ooooooh’ when I showed her the BabyBjorn potty for the first time, which means it has her seal of approval.
I’ve been dreading this stage for a while and thought we still had a while to go before we got to it. Little I never likes to make us wait though, so I should have known she’d be a keen bean when it came to potty training.
We’re taking it very slowly and so far, although she sits on her BabyBjorn potty for ages after her bath, and whenever she asks for it, she’s yet to actually do anything on it. She is very conscious of when she has done a wee or poo now and always rushes to tell us and wants rid of it, which I’m told is a good sign for potty training.
Little I has done a couple wees at nursery on the mini toilets and is desperate to wear ‘pants’, aka pull up nappies. She has also, just this week done two wees on our toilet at home, which a trainer seat on it. She seems to be heading in the right direction potty training wise and we’ll keep you updated on our progress!
The BabyBjorn potty has a RRP of £19.99 and is available at most major kids retailers, including Amazon, John Lewis and selected branches of Tesco. There are all sorts of other fab products in their bathroom range such as the step stool, the toilet trainer and the potty chair.
