A couple weekends ago we were invited to attend the Capri Sun #packedlunchlove event being held at Maggie & Rose in Kensington, London. Now, I do not need any excuse to head back up to London, never mind an excuse that also involves food. We obviously said yes straight away. It was also refreshing to be invited to an event that was being held at the weekend. I seem to miss out on quite a few, thanks to being a working mama.
The venue was a perfect set up for the event. There was a main room where the kids could run wild and a separate kitchen and work bench area for us mamas to get our packed lunch skills on.
The lovely Grace from Eats Amazing was hosting the workshop and what a great job she did. She talked us bloggers through the story behind her bento box lunches, the utensils and taught us how to make a woodland themed lunch.
It was honestly so much fun and a lot less time consuming than you would think. It’s all about having the right tools and a good idea. Some of the ways of making food more exciting are so simple but until someone points them out to you, they are so very to miss.
It is essentially a brilliant way of making healthy, nutritious food more fun for kids. It’s amazing what a pair of googley eyes can do to make a normally fussy child wolf down vegetables etc.
And what self-respecting fun, healthy lunchbox would be seen without a drink to match? That’s where Capri Sun’s new Fruit Crush range come in. They are made from 75% fruit juice and 25% water so there’s no nasty surprises hiding and you can be reassured that what you are giving your child is as healthy as the lunch you have made.
I remember Capri Sun from when I was little and am still partial to one nowadays. It’s great to see they are still going strong and are producing innovative new products.
Little I also had a ball at the event and came home with this beauty of a painting she did.
Thanks for having us Capri Sun, it was a great morning and we learnt lots! I’ll leave you with a little video of the event which shows the fun we had.
