Don’t get me wrong. I love my iCandy Peach 3 but we’ve been on the hunt for a stroller type buggy for going on holiday, instead of a full blown travel system, for a while. Just something that pops up and down, is relatively lightweight and easy to travel about with. Something that can withstand being thrown about by baggage holders at airport and isn’t so expensive that you would worry about handing it over at the gate.
Say hello to the Chicco Echo stroller. We were sent one by our lovely friends at Chicco to review and we are excited to share it with you. We chose it in a lovely bright Red colour. It comes in all sorts of colours – Blue, Yellow, Purple, Green. Anyone who knows me knows I am not a colour person so this was quite a bold choice for me! I love how it’s a nice unisex colour.
It was very easy to put together. The husband managed it in around 10-15 minutes. He probably would have done it quicker if he’d read the instructions! The wheels clipped on really easily and the sun/shade hood was easy to figure out.
As soon as he had finished fitting it together I couldn’t resist having a little go in the garden!
The first proper outing we took the Chicco Echo on was to the beach. We popped out for a walk and lunch on the beach front. I was immediately impressed with how the Chicco Echo handled. The actual handle bars themselves are a great shape and very comfortable to hold. They are also at a perfect angle for maneuvering the stroller.
I love how easy it is to move the seat from upright to fully reclined. It is literally just a little lever on the back of the seat that is really easy to reach and adjust, even one handed. Isla has had a couple naps in the Chicco Echo and has seemed very comfortable.
The seat itself has a great leg rest part which looks super comfy for your child as you stroll about.
It is so easy to pop up and down, which is exactly what you are looking for with these sorts of strollers. It’s just a case of pulling a lever and flicking it down.
It is a tad on the long side for fitting in car boots but it does fold up very compactly width wise.
The basket on the bottom is great for storing all your bits and bobs. It looks quite small but my goodness it fits a lot in it. The Mary Poppins of stroller baskets!
All in all we have been very impressed by the Chicco Echo stroller and will be taking it all over the place on our travels!
We have just come back from a trip through the airport with the Chicco Echo stroller so we will be posting our video review very shortly.
The Chicco Echo stroller is available in all major baby retailers and has a RRP of £99.99. It is actually on offer in Kiddicare and Mothercare at the moment. Just saying!
What travel strollers do you lovely people own?
