LIFE Mobile Review

Mobile phones are such an integral part of our lives these days. It’s funny to think I grew up without a smart phone, considering how over used my poor phone is these days!

I use my phone for literally everything. I keep in touch with family and friends. I post daily on various social media platforms. I manage my blog and YouTube channel through numerous apps. I edit photos. I online shop. I digital bank. I order food. I book appointments. The list goes on and on. I basically manage my whole life on my phone so need to make sure I’m getting my money’s worth when it comes to monthly tariffs and allowances.

We were contacted by LIFE Mobile a few months back to see if we wanted to try out on of their new monthly plans. I pay a pretty substantial amount for my iPhone contract, and often seem to be going over my data allowance, so I’m always on the hunt for better deals. The husband’s contract is up pretty soon too so he was particularly interested on how we’d get on with LIFE Mobile.

LIFE Mobile are a subsidiary of EE and focus on offering low price SIM only deals to people who are looking for a great tariff, but don’t want to pay over the odds for it.

I hadn’t heard of LIFE Mobile before, so was a bit wary at first, but once they mentioned they were associated with EE . It’s a bit sad though that new companies have to fight to build up a reputation against the bigger boys in the market!

First impressions began with the ordering process. LIFE Mobile’s website is really easy to use and very user friendly. The website design is really clean and easy to navigate. There’s nothing worse than not being able to find what you’re looking for on a website easily. Especially when you are about to part with money!

Their tariffs are easy to understand and you aren’t bombarded with a silly amount of options. Essentially there are the Mini, Value, Everyday and Maxi SIMs to choose from. We navigated our way through and chose the Everyday SIM (1000 mins, 5000 texts and 2 GB of data) for £9.95. Looking good so far!

The SIM card is a 30 day rolling contract so that’s handy. And what is also good is that LIFE Mobile can set up a cap on your account so that if you were to purchase the SIM for a family member, for example, they wouldn’t be able to go and rack up massive bills on your account!

The ordering process was quick and pretty painless. I hate filling out all the personal details, when setting up with a company for the first time, but it didn’t seem to take too long on the LIFE Mobile website.

I believe the tariff offered is great value for money. £9.95 is a very good price for the amount of minutes, texts and data provided. Let’s be honest though, these days we tend to use data way more than texts and minutes – thanks Snapchat, Whatsapp and Facebook! I had a quick scout around what other networks were providing and LIFE Mobile are up there with their SIM only deals.

We’ve experienced no problems coverage wise and often the LIFE Mobile SIM has actually had better coverage and signal than my usual one! There seem to be quite a lot of Black spots around where we live but it was less noticeable with the LIFE Mobile SIM.

All in all, it’s a big thumbs up for LIFE Mobile from us. If you’re in the market for a great SIM only deal, at a good price then definitely check them out here.

Who is your current network provider? Would you consider a SIM only tariff?
