From day one of pregnancy, comfort is the aim of the game when it comes to lingerie. Unfortunately, this often comes at the sacrifice of style and looks. Not in the case of maternity and nursing lingerie brand, Lorna Drew.
I was lucky enough to be sent a beautiful little set from Lorna Drew to review and share with you all. I chose the Grace set in Black/Nude.
The design is really lovely and is a good mix of being feminine and glamorous at the same time. We all know that feeling glamorous is not something that comes very naturally during pregnancy, so anything that can help is welcome in my world.
The briefs are gorgeous as well. The size 10 fit me perfectly, which was a relief with this pregnancy bum! The lace detailing along the top is so pretty and adds to the luxurious feel of the set. The bow detail that matches on the bra and briefs is also a cute, little touch.
The fit of the bra was really great. I’ve been let down a lot by other maternity brands that I’ve bought so I wasn’t expecting the bra to be so comfortable. I barely even had to adjust the straps – they seemed to be at the right setting straight away. The flexi underwire holds and supports which gives all the fantastic shape and support of a underwired bra with the gentle flexibility of a feeding bra.
I haven’t actually been measured very often during this pregnancy because it didn’t seem to make a difference last time. Different shops said different things, so this time I’ve gone with what I think I am, size wise, through trial and error or trying on different bra sizes and it seems to be working for now, It might be a different story once baby is here and things all change again!
The bra retails for £43 and the briefs for £16, which I think accurately reflects the quality and comfort of the product. Often when it comes to maternity wear, you get what you pay for!
Where did/do you shop for your maternity lingerie?
