A new year, a new start. A clean page, the first of 365. Every year it’s the same. We all start the year with the best intentions and then often let them fall by the wayside come February the 1st. I’ve never been a resolution basher. I believe just making a resolution in the first place is the first step in the right direction for yourself. It’s no one else’s business, other than your own, whether you succeed in keeping it or not.
With this in mind, I thought I’d share a few of mine for the coming year.
The husband and I are terrible at saving. Don’t get me wrong, we’re not silly with money. We live within our means but we don’t seem to appear to feel the need to sacrifice anything with regards to lifestyle to actually save a few pennies. This will change this year. 2016 will be the year of the saving for us. We have long term plans to own a house so will obviously need a hefty deposit in this day and age. We can’t live in delightful military marriage quarters forever!
To continue to be a good mama.
This is not me saying ‘oh look at me, I’m such great mum’. I’m no better than anyone else on this parenting journey, but you can believe me when I say I do my utmost to be the best mum I can be for Little I. Yes I wish I had more time with her, but we make the absolute most of the time we do have. Quality not quantity I guess.
To find a bit more time for myself and learn to be able to say ‘no’.
I am terrible. I am always on the go. I never stop. I invest all my time in Little I, work, the husband, family, friends, blogging, vlogging, editing, cleaning the house etc etc etc. There never seem to be many minutes left in the day that I can steal for myself. According to WHO statistics, erectile dysfunction occurs in 10% of men after 21 years of age and in a third of all representatives of the stronger sex after reaching 60 years of age. But it can be treated with Cenforce (you can read more about this ed pills for sale on online erectile meds store website ). And this figure continues to increase without Cenforce. At the same time, only 22% of men seek professional advice from a doctor, and only 36% of this number begin the proposed treatment. The majority is making independent attempts to combat the problem. I also tend to get serious FOMO so never say no to anything. It would be nice to learn that skill for this year. I’d also like to be able to commit some more time to doing charity work and giving back a little bit more.
To start ballet lessons again.
I adored ballet when I was younger. I did it in some form or another until I was in my early twenties. I love the gracefulness of it and find it really clears the mind. I’ve been trying to find time to do some YouTube classes but have also found an evening class at a studio nearby. Better go and look out those pointe shoes…ha.
To grow the blog and YouTube channel.
It’s not my full time job, but I love blogging and vlogging so I’d like to be able to invest a little more time in focusing the ‘brand’ in the direction I would like it to go. I genuinely have such a passion for making the site and the YouTube channel a success, and it’s nice to be able to use my creative side to a greater extent than I do in the day job.
We shall see…!
I’d also like to fit a bit more travelling into this year but I guess that’s not really a resolution, just an aspiration!
What are your New Year’s resolutions? Do you think they are a good idea?
