You can definitely tell I am now a mum because instead of asking for a pair of shoes or a bag or jewellery of some sort for my birthday I asked for…a Pacapod changing bag!!
When I started looking at changing bags back when I was pregnant, I couldn’t justify spending more than £50 so that ruled out all Pacapods. Fast forward to 10 weeks post birth and 10 weeks of actually using a changing bag, I changed my mind…
With my birthday coming up my mum and dad asked what I fancied from them and a Pacapod bag sprung to mind!
My mum was down from Scotland so we went to John Lewis to have a look at the different styles. Originally I was looking at the Oban but when I saw it in real life I didn’t feel like it was girly enough. I don’t usually like patterned bags but I saw the Jura in Red in John Lewis and liked the shape and pattern of it. Only problem is I didn’t want it in Red so we had to order it off the Pacapod website.
This is the description on the Pacapod website:
It arrived really quickly and my mum let me open it early to check I liked it!
Its such a great size and shape with a fun pattern and it comes with great diagrams showing how the bag works…
The pocket sizes on both sides of the bag are fab and expand as you delve deeper into them. Plenty room for all those baby (and mummy!) essentials.
Onto the pods…
There’s a feeding pod (Black) and a changing pod (Grey). They fit into the bigger pocket of the bag and there are velcro tags on the back of the pods to secure them into the bag.
The feeding pod is insulated and has a bottle wrap as well.
The changing pod has lots of little compartments (OCD heaven!) with labels that show what they are all for. There are pockets for nappies on one side of the pod and 2 little pockets on the other side. We’ve used them for cotton wool, nappy sacks and mini tubs of Sudocrem, Vaseline etc. There are elastic band fittings to fit a pack of wipes in. The changing mat is a nice shape and quite padded so nice and comfy for baby.
There is also a little drawstring bag to keep clean clothes in.
The bag comes with these amazing buggy straps where you can easily clip the bag onto your buggy. It keeps the bag up and out of the way and lets it hang at a perfect angle. Much better than draping your bag strap round the buggy or shoving it under in the shopping basket.
The detailing on the bag is of a high quality and looks great too.
All in all, I absolutely love my new bag and don’t know how I survived without it. I can find anything in it in an instance, even when the husband has had it out and rummaged around in it!
Well done Pacapod, hopefully one day I’ll be able to afford one of your beautiful leather styles!
