Welcome back to another week of Weekend Tot Style – glad to have you along! Unfortunately, Clearly Bex is taking a break from the blogging world at the moment, so it will just be ourselves hosting for a little while. Hope you’ve all had a lovely week.
Dress, Made by Jay* | Cardi, Next | Sandals, Primark
We were sent this ADORABLE dress from a lovely independent brand called Made by Jay. Check them out, and give them a cheeky follow, on Instagram here. There is a lovely back story to this brand. Jay’s love of sewing started when she was a six-year-old girl in Yorkshire. As a teenager she made clothes for herself and her friends, and when she started working as a nanny she made costumes for the children when they went to fancy dress parties. All the models on their website are children Jay has nannied for or looked after, which is so sweet! Encouraged to make her hobby a business by husband, Jay spent a year researching her market, and making proto-types. Everything you see on Made by Jay is handmade by Jay using Liberty tana lawn print 100% cotton and is finished to a very high standard.
So onto the dress. It is beautiful. You can feel the quality as soon as you take it out of it’s gorgeous tissue wrapping. The material feels amazing and the dress is lined really well with poplin. This fabric is called the Betsy fabric and we are in love with the print and the wonderful colours. They really suit Little I. The dress buttons up with some very pretty little pearl effect buttons – such a lovely little detail.
As you can see from the photos of my little menace the Made by Jay dress fits really well and is true to size. It was a big hit with Little I and she loved looked at the pattern in great detail and pointing flowers out to me.
Playsuit, Little Bird by Jools | Rainbow Wellies, Jojo Maman Bebe | Hat, Braces and Bows
(honestly – who is this child?!)
At first I thought ‘too much rainbow’ and then I thought ‘YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH RAINBOW’ (!!!), so I went for it. We’ve been after this little playsuit for ages and finally got our hands on it. Unfortunately I couldn’t buy it in the next size up because it was sold out, so I may well be stretching this as much as I can. Little I insisted on the hat. She’s going through a hat stage just now…
A pick from last week:
It just had to be this outfit from Baby Holiday‘s Weekend Tot Style post from last week. It’s the Mustard Yellow bear-eared hoodie that has sealed the deal for me. TOO cute!
Now it’s your turn! The rules are simple:
