A Winter OOTD in Edinburgh

I love Autumn Winter fashion. Don’t get me wrong, I do love a good summer holiday outfit as well, but there’s something so lovely about getting all wrapped up and cosy in the latest A/W fashion and trends.

One A/W trend that never goes away is the plain Black heeled boot. It’s a staple item that every girl should have in her wardrobe. They are my go to item for dressing up a casual outfit or for adding to an already quite dressy ensemble.

My River Island Black heeled boots are perfect for all sorts of occasions. Going to the cinema, going out for dinner, nights out, all sorts. They are also comfortable enough to wear day to day as well. The heel is a fab height – not too low to be a super casual boot, and not too hight that you can barely walk in them. I’m a size 5.5 and sometimes can find boots fit a bit strange in high street retailers, but these were perfect.

The zips at the back add a cute little detail, especially with the ties attached to them.

This year, there seems to be a lot of attention around pleated midi skirts. Midi skirts are such a winner in colder weather for obvious warmth reasons, but they look great as well. They are also super flattering on most body shapes and are comfortable to wear up at your waist. I like how the one I have on here is metallic. It adds a dressier edge to the whole outfit.

Another popular choice for A/W is the (faux) fur collar coat. Every year there is a new offering of faux fur collared coats in nearly every high street store, and I love having a look through them all! This year I have this gorgeous tan coloured coat from River Island.

It fits so well and keeps me lovely and warm at the same time. There’s a lot to be said about keeping warm whilst living up in the North of Scotland. Anything that can keep me cosy, whilst staying fashionable, is welcome in my wardrobe!
